At the end of 2023 I wrote a blog about what’s coming in 2024 – little did I know when I wrote that post what 2024 would really have in store. Today I’m here to share the biggest change yet for Jaden Giorgianni Photography and what’s behind the big change.

So…what’s changing?

Well there are two changes – one was a goal for ’24 and the other hit me out of no where one Wednesday afternoon in late May. The first, I’ve FINALLY!!!! changed gallery delivery providers! At the end of ’23 my plan was to go with the delivery software my booking platform offered but I ended up choosing another company and I’ve officially started moving the galleries, so there’s no turning back!

As of this writing, I’ve moved about 1/2 of the galleries I’m moving over and have sent update emails to clients. It’s a long process that I am doing one gallery at a time so if you try to log into your gallery and it’s gone, don’t worry, just pop an email over (jaden@giorgianniphotography.com) and I’ll move your name to the top of the “next” list!

The second change is the biggest change I’ve put forth since I opened 5 years ago – a full pricing/package restructure. You read that right, the whole process has been changed. From now on to book a session clients will pay a session fee and after the session purchase a package that suits their needs.

Ok…why the changes?

Well the first was something I was planning and something that was much needed – I’ve been quickly outgrowing my old delivery system and I needed to commit to the upgrade.

The second though…the main reason, taxes.

Taxes AND prints/products. The taxes aspect (Georgia has decided digital images are subject to sales & use tax now) is what kicked my rear into gear about sitting down and making the changes but I’ve been looking at programs and ways other photographers structure their businesses for a few years now. The other side is more emotional, I just want people to have stuff.

I love how my kids sit down and look at our family albums, how they walk by the photos printed on the walls and stop to talk about where we were and what was going on when the photo was taken, and how they look at photos at other people’s homes when we go visit. Think they aren’t…Ada asks me A LOT of questions about our friend’s wall decor haha!! She also sleeps with her yearbook because she loves looking at the pictures – if that isn’t a reason to have printed photos in your life I don’t know what is!!

So buckle up and strap in because the change is here and the first month or so might be a little bit bumpy while I re-automate all the great things my clients get in preparation for their sessions! I’m working through lists and tweaking things I think I’m missing as I book session after session for myself lol
