There are way more than 3 reasons to join a senior team but today I’m sharing my top 3 reasons to apply! If you aren’t sure what a spokesmodel team is, let me fill you in!! It’s a group of senior girls who live in or around the city you live in. Over the course of your senior year you get to participate in group photoshoots – every photographer who hosts a team does things a little differently but for my team these group sessions include group and individual time in front of the camera.
Each year my spokesmodel team gets a beach sunset session, a cap & gown session, and two additional sessions (usually a welcome session downtown and a themed session). You also get an individual senior session. My senior team sessions are easily my favorite sessions during the year and being able to host this program is the best!
You get multiple looks over the year
When you book a senior casual session, depending on the photographer and the package, you get 1-4 outfits during an up to 2 hour session BUT when you join a senior spokesmodel team you can get so many more outfits during your year! One of the best things about this…you can wear that dress you only like a little but your mom loves for one of the outfits in your individual senior session and then really show your style off for the other outfits and other sessions during the year! I will say – most senior spokesmodel programs, including mine, have outfit guidelines for group sessions but that doesn’t mean you can’t take your sense of style and put it toward the outfits you choose!
The other thing you can change up from session to session…your hair! Want to wear your hair straight and curled for your senior session? That’s going to be really hard to pull off when you have 1 date and maybe an hour of time with a photographer – and that’s assuming you have access to a curling iron or straightener while you’re at your session. When you join a senior spokesmodel team you can wear your hair differently for each session – if you like!

You can meet new friends
There may be some girls on the senior team who you know or who go to the same school as you but guess what – there will also be girls from different schools! This is a great chance to meet new people, expand your friend circle, and you never know – maybe meet your college roommate for next year! If you already know someone on the team but don’t know them well it’s a great chance to get to know them better over the year.
You grow up more than you realize during your senior year
With so many big changes happening over your senior year one of the things you may not think about is how much YOU change! It doesn’t seem like the 9-10 months from your summer senior pictures to graduation can make that much of a difference but it does! I’m sure your mom can back me up here when you graduate! Joining a senior team documents those changes over the year and gives you (and your family) something to look back on and really be able to see.
