Over the weekend The Mini Experience sessions went down without a hitch! These sessions open the door for me to meet so many great families and to photograph some favorite returning families! Early in the week the weather looked questionable but when the time came I couldn’t have asked for better days!
Family Photos in Forsyth Park
On Saturday morning the first of two Mini Experience offers kicked off in Forsyth Park. This year I hosted the date the first weekend in November to avoid the craziness Forsyth Park can have over Veteran’s Day weekend, which is the 2nd weekend of the month. This was a good decision, considering the traffic and parking from last year when I hosted mini sessions during the parade weekend.
My favorite places to take photos in Forsyth actually don’t include the fountain – GASP!! – I know! I love the other spots around the park much more than lobbying for a spot at the fountain. Each family had photos taken by the fountain, on the path between the streets and the fountain, and under the trees on the west side of the park during their 15 minute session.
Tree Farm Family Photos
On Sunday afternoon I trucked it out to Effingham to host day two of The Mini Experience weekend at Rahn Farms. I had a blast in the trees thinking about the holidays, meeting new families, and catching up with some photography regulars/friends.
Everyone had on their holiday colors and the afternoon went well! These sessions have been some of my favorites from the year and I can’t wait to see which photos the families choose and share as their favorites!
Want to know more about The Mini Experience?
The Mini Experience sessions are held in the spring and the fall each year. For 2024 I’m looking at March for the spring sessions and November for the fall. The locations may or may not change – depending on where I’m enjoying taking sessions when time to plan rolls around. If you want to be first to know any details for upcoming sessions use the link below to join my email list! Sessions information and dates are emailed out and opened to email list subscribers before they are opened to the public. Hopefully your family will be joining me next year for a session!
