I have so many favorite spots to photograph senior sessions but there are a few that I could go to again and again and be completely happy with getting the “same” photos but also getting new angles and tucking into new spots with each session. Every time I go to some of my favorite locations I find a new spot I missed the last time or the light is just a bit different and it changes everything! Here’s a quick run down of my favorite senior session locations in Savannah!
Crawford Square Senior Photos
My favorite place around Crawford Square is the rainbow row on the southwest corner. The colorful buildings are perfect for adding a pop to any outfit a senior wears and there is so much variation possible in a short section of the square. Another reason I like Crawford Square is the gazebo. I don’t traditionally like a gazebo for photos but taking photos with parts of the gazebo is what I like to do here. Crawford Square is also great because it’s right around the corner from Liberty which has some great floral spots in the spring!
Bluff Drive Senior Photos
I like sessions on Bluff Drive for two main reasons. First, it’s beautiful. Second, there really isn’t a bad time of day for a session here. The large oaks provide so much great open shade a session here at 10 am looks as great (sometimes better) than a session at sunset.
Forsyth Park Senior Photos
Ok…so there’s the fountain. I get it, its classic Savannah but Forsyth Park has SO MUCH MORE to offer!! I love Forsyth because after that classic fountain shot exploring the streets right off the park provides so many more backdrops and feels like you are getting multiple locations without having to move the car and find parking again!
Skidaway Island Senior Photos
I’m partial to Skidaway because I live on the island but really, there are so many great spots and even if you hop in the car to scoot from one spot to the next it takes 5 minutes and you aren’t wasting camera time driving around to the next location. Each location on the island has its perks but where else can you find brick sidewalks, beautiful clubhouses, golf courses, and marsh all in one spot?
Whitefield Square Senior Photos
Whitefield Square has recently become a favorite spot for me especially in the spring and early summer. The azaleas in the late spring followed by the hydrangeas in June are always so pretty and the gazebo in the middle of the square is a great backdrop. The streets and buildings around the square also also great, making for a spot that has tons of variety without having to walk far or get in your car and drive around.
Choosing a Location for YOU!
Each location is unique, in its own way, and there are so many more amazing spots in Savannah for senior photos. The main thing to think about when you are deciding where to have your Savannah Senior Casuals is what feels right for you! You should be excited to be heading to your session, knowing the location you choose is where you want your photos taken!
