Photographing Christmas memories is one of my favorite things to do! Over the past 7 years I’ve taken so many great Christmas photos of my kids, here are some of my favorites and even some cringeworthy ones that at the time were the best photos I’d ever taken. It’s always good to look back and be able to see where you started, right!?
2016
2016 was Christopher’s first Christmas. Man was I on Pinterest working hard to find and recreate all the cute ideas I could find. I had a few legit Pinterest fails that year but I had a few good ones too! Here are my favorites.
2017
This was the first year I tried the ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas photo. It’s ok…I’m glad I’ve improved on it since (see 2018 and 2019)!
2018
In 2018 I got a little better with the settings (and the post processing) of the ‘Twas the Night before Christmas photo. There are still things I’m working on in all three of these but I just love them all. This family photo is one of my all time favorites, it’s probably because I had great pregnant hair. Haha!!
2019
I got a little crazy with the set ups in 2019 but it was my first year with a little girl to dress up and I couldn’t help myself! Ada was at that perfect moment where she could sit but not move so she made the perfect model!
2020
Last year I didn’t spend as much time with the kids in front of the camera as 2019 but I did get some cute shots of them (when Ada wasn’t crying LOL). My favorite from 2020 was definitely taking the tree to Tybee!
2021
2021 was a bit better in the #adacried department but there were still moments LOL! One of my favorite things about doing some of the photos year after year is seeing how much they are growing.
I’m so excited to have time this year to take pictures of the kids in Christmas set-ups! There are a few I’ll be repeating but hopefully I’ll come up with some new ideas to try!
