Halle’s Downtown Savannah Senior Session | Jaden Giorgianni Photography

< back to blog

Your senior year of high school is such a big deal and what better way to document this moment in time? Senior pictures!!

The Senior Experience is my signature senior session. It offers up to 4 outfits, cap & gown photos, and a 2 location choices. For Halle’s session she drove down from Illinois to do a destination shoot and chose Forsyth Park and Downtown Squares & Side Streets.

Destination Senior Session in Downtown Savannah

Halle started her session in a gorgeous floor length pink and floral dress. When Halle stepped out of the car I knew she had done the work and put real effort into planning her outfits! We’d talked online prior to the shoot about what she was planning to wear and where we were going to shoot but sometimes talking about it and seeing the outfit in person at the shoot is totally different – this was one of those instances!

We walked around Forsyth Park in this dress getting all the classic spot – Halle was nervous the fountain wouldn’t be there because of the construction project but it was and we got those pics for her in addition to so many other great Forsyth Park spots!

This collage showcases three stunning senior portraits of a young woman in a soft, romantic garden setting:

Left Image:
She walks confidently down a shaded pathway lined with historic oak trees draped in Spanish moss. Her floral off-the-shoulder gown flows gently around her, and she smiles warmly at the camera. The movement in her dress and the dappled light through the trees give the image a dreamy, elegant feel.
Center Image:
A mid-length portrait framed by vibrant hydrangea blooms in purple, pink, and blue. She poses with one hand on her hip and the other playing with her hair, showcasing both the intricate floral texture of her dress and her relaxed confidence. The greenery and flowers around her complement the colors of her gown perfectly.
Right Image:
She strolls along a paved path beside a row of white columns and wrought-iron fencing, surrounded by lush landscaping and mossy oaks overhead. The soft light filtering through the trees casts a gentle glow on her and highlights the detail in her dress.
These images beautifully combine natural elegance, floral themes, and classic Southern charm.

Forsyth Park Senior Sessions

For her second outfit Halle went casual with a pair of pearl studded jeans and a white button down shirt. This was a great outfit because denim never goes out of style but also she had the embellishment of the pearls which gave the jeans just a little something extra!

We walk around Forsyth Park again with this outfit – catching the classic spots but also getting into the grass and sitting for some photos. Wearing an outfit you can sit on the ground in is always a good idea for your senior pictures because it add a ton of variety to the posing options!

This image collage captures a senior in a relaxed, casual look during a cheerful and personality-filled photoshoot in a lush park setting:

Left Image:
The senior walks along a paved path under a canopy of mature oak trees, smiling off to the side and playfully holding a lock of her hair. She wears a short-sleeved white button-up blouse tucked slightly into light blue jeans embellished with tiny white floral or pearl details. Her white platform sandals complete the breezy, confident vibe.
Center Image:
Sitting cross-legged on the grass in front of classic Savannah architecture, she rests her chin on her hands and beams at the camera. The buildings in the background — one brick, one painted pastel — add a touch of historic charm. Her relaxed pose and genuine smile create an inviting, approachable energy.
Right Image:
She stands on a sidewalk next to blooming agapanthus flowers and garden beds, hands in her pockets and looking back over her shoulder with a proud smile. Spanish moss drapes from the trees above, and the wide pathway and fountain in the distance add depth and elegance to the scene.

Senior Photos in Savannah’s Squares

For our next location we headed to Whitfield Square – Halle chose the “squares and side streets” option and told me she wanted to make sure Jones Street was one of the streets we visited so I picked this spot. I knew the hydrangeas were blooming in the square and it was an easy walk to Jones.

Halle wore a simple white dress for this outfit. I always suggest seniors wear a white dress – it’s a great look on almost everyone and it’s a very easy outfit to blend to your personality.

This image collage features three senior portraits showcasing a classic and charming white dress look in various picturesque Savannah settings:

Left Image:
The senior stands in a narrow alleyway with ivy-covered brick walls and potted palms adding rich texture and greenery to the scene. She’s smiling softly, hands gently clasped, wearing a short white eyelet dress with puffed sleeves and wedge sandals. Her loose waves and relaxed pose give the portrait a warm, easygoing feel.
Center Image:
Set in a small park, she stands confidently on a grassy lawn in front of a white gazebo framed by old oak trees and manicured gardens. Her dress flows naturally and her stance is centered and grounded, giving the photo a timeless, traditional senior session vibe with Southern elegance.
Right Image:
She poses on a brick walkway in front of a light blue house with black shutters and overflowing window boxes of lush green ferns and trailing vines. The soft lighting and tidy backdrop highlight her bright white dress and natural smile, creating a clean, polished final image in a classic Savannah residential setting.

Cap & Gown Photos in Savannah, Georgia

The other reason I suggest senior experience clients wear a white dress is for the complementary cap & gown photos. As of this post, Senior Experience sessions include cap & gown photos – and I know most schools don’t give out cap & gowns until spring so I provide this for each senior.

We walked over to Jones Street for the cap & gown photos and even got lucky with the sidewalks being clear of cars for a great middle of the road shot!

This image collage captures joyful senior graduation moments with a blend of celebration and Southern charm:

Left Image:
The senior stands against a vine-covered wall, softly smiling at the camera. She wears a crisp white eyelet dress with puff sleeves and holds a deep purple graduation cap in one hand, the tassel adding a celebratory touch. Her hair is styled in loose curls, and the greenery beside her brings texture and color contrast to the clean white background.
Center Image:
In the middle of a tree-lined, cobblestone street, she confidently tosses her cap toward the camera. She’s wearing her full maroon cap and gown over her white dress and wedge sandals. Her joyful expression and the motion of the flying cap create a dynamic, fun moment that radiates achievement.
Right Image:
In a lush garden courtyard in front of a historic cream-colored home, she raises her graduation cap triumphantly while smiling upward. Her maroon gown is draped behind her, and she still wears the same white dress and wedges. The surrounding greenery and architectural details create a perfectly classic Savannah scene.

Senior Photos in Savannah, Georgia

For her final outfit, Halle chose a green shirt and black shorts. This color looks so good on Halle and I again love the casual look! I personally think everyone should wear at least one casual look for senior photos and if you aren’t the type of person who “loves” dressy it’s ok to make one or more of your outfits causal. These photos are about sharing your personality so you can wear what makes you the most comfortable!

We stayed on right around Jones for this final outfit – I’m always looking for flowers to “put” seniors in and these purple crepe myrtles were a great find!

This image collage features three relaxed and vibrant senior portraits in downtown Savannah, showcasing a fun and approachable everyday outfit:

Left Image:
A close-up portrait framed by bright purple crepe myrtle blossoms. The senior smiles brightly at the camera, her loose blonde curls softly framing her face. She’s wearing a textured green knit top that contrasts beautifully with the floral background, creating a cheerful and colorful image.
Center Image:
A wide-angle street scene with the senior standing confidently on a brick crosswalk in front of a stately yellow historic building with black shutters. She wears the same green top paired with black shorts and slip-on sandals. Her pose is strong and casual, adding personality to the classic Savannah architecture around her.
Right Image:
Seated on a wrought-iron bench beside a red brick wall and surrounded by potted ferns, the senior rests her chin lightly on her hand with a sweet, relaxed smile. The repeating pattern of the ferns, shutters, and brick provides visual interest, while her pose and expression keep the focus on her natural charm.
