Savannah Family Photographer | My Plan for 2024 Mini Sessions

< back to blog

Hosting mini sessions has become a pivotal portion of my business, between spring and fall offers I doubled the number of families I was able to serve for these special sessions and I hope for 2024 to be able to add some more times, families, and offers. Today I’m sharing some of the thoughts I have around what’s to come for 2024 mini sessions in Savannah.

**Note – VIP lists are per session so if you would like information early on more than one session sign up for each VIP list**

Savannah Georgia Holiday Mini Sessions

First things first let’s talk about THE most popular mini session I offer – the milk & cookie mini. These have come such a long way from shooting in my garage back in the day to having a designated space in my office, inside, without the crazy dog barking in the backyard lol

I have loved these sessions since day one and good news for 2024 – they aren’t going anywhere!! I don’t have a date set yet but I do know they are moving to earlier in November than usual for 2024 due to a trip I’ve already committed to before Thanksgiving.

To make your odds with booking higher you NEED to get on the VIP List – booking for these sessions opens in the following order, VIP list, general email list, and open to the public. Fair warning though – these haven’t opened to the public in a few years and have booked out VIP list access for the last two years now. Seriously…get on the VIP List!

Spring Mini Sessions in Savannah, Georgia

I guess technically I should have The Mini Experience – Spring first in this post considering it’s going to be the first offer I will have for Savannah mini sessions but who can argue with it going second behind Milk & Cookies lol

Spring Minis are going to be held in Washington Square on Saturday, March 23rd times TBD. These sessions are going to be perfect for two big reasons – St. Pats and Easter. If you love getting dressed up for St. Pats but never get that family photo I know it’s not exactly the same BUT it’s a great opportunity to get dressed back up and get the photos you’ve always wanted. The same goes for Easter, although Easter won’t have passed. You put a lot of effort into the Easter Sunday look and it’s a struggle to get the family to stop for a second and take a photo the day of so using a mini session to check that off the list is great!

Booking for The Mini Experience – Spring will be offered in the following order. Past TME Spring clients, VIP list, general email list, and public. These sessions are getting more and more popular each year so I do suggest getting on the VIP list just to have the info before the public!

Fall Mini Sessions in Savannah, Georgia

For TME Fall ’24 I haven’t decided where to head but I do know I liked having that early November weekend as the date. I’ve done the last 2 years in Forsyth Park and I do feel like that’s a favorite but I do have some other spots I think would make a good change, especially for the families who book a fall mini year after year (if you are one of these families please send me your thoughts!).

Regardless of where I end up the fall mini sessions will book up fast so again, get on the VIP list. The order of release is the same as the spring minis but full disclosure, I open more spots in the fall than spring so there are more families who may snap up spots. Tybee Holiday Mini Sessions

Wait…what!!!?? That’s right, I’m officially committing to taking on Tybee for 2024. I have been testing this idea for years and to be honest it’s always been miserable. 40 degrees, windy AF, and just miserable. The photos are always beautiful but isn’t the experience part of the journey.

This year I’ve found a source for a real tree before Thanksgiving so I’m looking at an October (end of) weekend for a Tybee Christmas. The weather will still be on the warm side and the time change won’t have happened yet so it will be perfect!!

So this is another VIP list you are going to want to get on – regardless of the time of year there’s only a small window for photos at sunset so time slots will be limited. You can get on the VIP list for Tybee Christmas by CLICKING HERE!!
