A Pizza Party, a Photoshoot, and the First Day of Something Wonderful
Imagine spending your senior year not only being photographed in the best spots Savannah has to offer but also doing it with a group of girls just as excited about capturing memories as you are. Sounds pretty dreamy, right?
This year’s Class of 2026 Senior Team kicked off in the best way I know how: with snapping photos and sharing pizza. We met at Eastern Wharf in Savannah wearing a clean green-and-white color palette, scouted golden light down by the river, wandered between flowers and the SAV sign, and then filled the air with laughter and mozzarella over slices from Squirrel’s Pizza. Jillian, Paige, and Trista were total naturals in front of the camera, and by the end of the evening, it felt like we weren’t just getting the year started… we were already making memories.
Let’s talk about what makes these group sessions so special – for the girls and for me.
Why Group Senior Sessions Make Magic Happen
Senior portraits should absolutely be about showcasing you – your personality, your style, your story. But let’s be honest: It’s also one of the last moments before everyone goes their separate ways. Group sessions give seniors a unique chance to freeze these friendships in time.
I created my Senior Team to offer something more than a one-and-done photoshoot. It’s about building confidence in front of the camera, creating images that feel joyful and relaxed, and most importantly, making this year unforgettable alongside other amazing seniors.
What You Get from Being Part of the Senior Team
Being on the team means more than just pretty pictures (although we definitely deliver on those too). Here’s what sets the experience apart:
1. Multiple Shoots = More Memories
Over the course of the year, Senior Team members take part in four themed photoshoots:
- A Welcome Session (like our green-and-white pizza party at Eastern Wharf)
- A Sunset Beach Session
- A Themed Spring Session (think fun, creative vibes)
- A Cap & Gown Session right before graduation
You get individual photos, group shots, and plenty of candid moments in between – it’s like a mini photo journal of your senior year, and let’s face it… that’s way cooler than just one solo session on a random weekday.
2. Built-In Confidence Boost
I know that stepping in front of a camera can feel intimidating (cue: “What do I do with my hands?!?”). But when you’re with a group, it automatically ups the comfort level. You’re laughing, chatting, and feeding off each other’s energy instead of feeling like all eyes are on you.
Trust me – the nerves fade, the smiles become real, and suddenly, we’re getting those natural, genuine shots every mom (and grandma and future-you) wants to keep forever.
3. A Photographer Who Feels Like a Friend
One of the best things about photographing seniors over several sessions is that I actually get to know you. I’m not just someone with a camera – I’m your guide, your confidence coach, and your number one hype person.
By the spring session, I already know your best angles, the posing tips that make you feel confident, and how to bring out your actualpersonality (not the camera smile you practiced in the mirror).
4. Iconic Savannah Backdrops (without the guesswork)
Whether it’s sun flares by the river, Spanish moss hanging over oyster walkways, or pastel-painted walls downtown, Savannah totally shows off for senior photos. But you don’t have to do hours of location scouting. I’ve done it for you – and we pick spots based on light, color, and what makes you shine.
With each new session, we change it up to keep things fresh but intentional. There’s a reason Savannah is a top choice for portrait photography – and I make sure we make the most of it.
It’s More Than a Photoshoot – It’s a Senior Year Keepsake
Here’s the truth: You’re only a high school senior once. And while one amazing photo session is definitely something to celebrate, the idea behind the Senior Team is to go beyond that. To create a full-circle portrait experience. To build confidence behind the lens and friendships right alongside it.
The photos, of course, are beautiful (hi, it’s me…), but the real win is the laughter during the pizza dinner, the inside jokes that show up during the spring shoot, and that mix of nerves and excitement when you zip up your cap and gown together one last time.
Honestly… it’s a front-row seat to the best parts of senior year.
