A Savannah Senior Year to Remember: Inside Our Senior Team Welcome Session | Jaden Giorgianni Photography

< back to blog

A Pizza Party, a Photoshoot, and the First Day of Something Wonderful

Imagine spending your senior year not only being photographed in the best spots Savannah has to offer but also doing it with a group of girls just as excited about capturing memories as you are. Sounds pretty dreamy, right?

This year’s Class of 2026 Senior Team kicked off in the best way I know how: with snapping photos and sharing pizza. We met at Eastern Wharf in Savannah wearing a clean green-and-white color palette, scouted golden light down by the river, wandered between flowers and the SAV sign, and then filled the air with laughter and mozzarella over slices from Squirrel’s Pizza. Jillian, Paige, and Trista were total naturals in front of the camera, and by the end of the evening, it felt like we weren’t just getting the year started… we were already making memories.

Let’s talk about what makes these group sessions so special – for the girls and for me.

This image features three young women posing in front of large sculptural letters spelling out “SAV,” likely short for Savannah. They are outdoors on a sunny day, standing on a concrete base surrounded by grass, trees, and a riverfront promenade in the background. Two of the women are standing in front of the "S" and "a," while the third leans casually on the "V." They are all dressed in summery outfits featuring green and white tones, including floral patterns and light fabrics, which coordinate beautifully with the natural surroundings. The setting feels cheerful and vibrant—perfect for senior photos or a fun girls’ day out. The relaxed, happy vibe and the bright lighting give the image a fresh, youthful energy.

Why Group Senior Sessions Make Magic Happen

Senior portraits should absolutely be about showcasing you – your personality, your style, your story. But let’s be honest: It’s also one of the last moments before everyone goes their separate ways. Group sessions give seniors a unique chance to freeze these friendships in time.

I created my Senior Team to offer something more than a one-and-done photoshoot. It’s about building confidence in front of the camera, creating images that feel joyful and relaxed, and most importantly, making this year unforgettable alongside other amazing seniors.

What You Get from Being Part of the Senior Team

Being on the team means more than just pretty pictures (although we definitely deliver on those too). Here’s what sets the experience apart:

1. Multiple Shoots = More Memories

Over the course of the year, Senior Team members take part in four themed photoshoots:

  • A Welcome Session (like our green-and-white pizza party at Eastern Wharf)
  • A Sunset Beach Session
  • A Themed Spring Session (think fun, creative vibes)
  • A Cap & Gown Session right before graduation

You get individual photos, group shots, and plenty of candid moments in between – it’s like a mini photo journal of your senior year, and let’s face it… that’s way cooler than just one solo session on a random weekday.

2. Built-In Confidence Boost

I know that stepping in front of a camera can feel intimidating (cue: “What do I do with my hands?!?”). But when you’re with a group, it automatically ups the comfort level. You’re laughing, chatting, and feeding off each other’s energy instead of feeling like all eyes are on you.

Trust me – the nerves fade, the smiles become real, and suddenly, we’re getting those natural, genuine shots every mom (and grandma and future-you) wants to keep forever.

3. A Photographer Who Feels Like a Friend

One of the best things about photographing seniors over several sessions is that I actually get to know you. I’m not just someone with a camera – I’m your guide, your confidence coach, and your number one hype person.

By the spring session, I already know your best angles, the posing tips that make you feel confident, and how to bring out your actualpersonality (not the camera smile you practiced in the mirror).

4. Iconic Savannah Backdrops (without the guesswork)

Whether it’s sun flares by the river, Spanish moss hanging over oyster walkways, or pastel-painted walls downtown, Savannah totally shows off for senior photos. But you don’t have to do hours of location scouting. I’ve done it for you – and we pick spots based on light, color, and what makes you shine.

With each new session, we change it up to keep things fresh but intentional. There’s a reason Savannah is a top choice for portrait photography – and I make sure we make the most of it.

This collage features a young woman posing in three different outdoor settings, all in Savannah, GA. She is wearing the same green and white floral sundress with tie straps and cream heels in each photo, creating a cohesive, summery look. Left Image: She stands confidently on a brick-paved pier or walkway by the river, framed by a tall lamppost and cable-railed fencing. The open sky and distant greenery create a serene coastal vibe. Middle Image: She’s laughing joyfully while standing among vibrant red flowers, with a classic paddlewheel riverboat in the background. This adds a lively, iconic Savannah touch, evoking a playful, carefree mood. Right Image: She smiles warmly beside tropical landscaping, including blooming purple flowers and a palm tree. Modern buildings and a green park are visible behind her, balancing natural charm with urban style. Overall, the set conveys a joyful, confident energy—ideal for senior portraits—celebrating both personality and place in a fresh, vibrant way.

This collage features a high school senior enjoying a sunny day in Savannah, styled in a fresh, casual look perfect for spring or summer photos. She’s wearing a light green corduroy jacket over a white top, paired with white distressed shorts and white sneakers with a gum sole. Her long, wavy auburn hair is styled down, and she has a confident, relaxed smile in each shot. Left Image: She walks confidently toward the camera on a brick-paved riverside walkway, framed by a tall black lamppost. The setting and her stride give the image movement and a modern, carefree vibe. Middle Image: She’s standing in front of a paddlewheel riverboat and lush red roses, looking over her shoulder with her hands in her pockets. The setting feels iconic and romantic with a touch of whimsy. Right Image: She stands beside palm trees and bright pink flowers in a sunny landscaped area, smiling softly with one hand playing in her hair. The blurred buildings in the background give a hint of city life while keeping her as the main focus. Overall, the series feels vibrant, youthful, and full of personality—capturing both confidence and charm in a coastal Southern setting.

This image collage showcases a high school senior in three different outdoor locations around Savannah, all highlighting a fresh, playful, and sunny vibe. She is wearing a green mini dress with bold white floral patterns and thin straps, paired with simple white sandals. Her straight blonde hair and natural makeup give her a soft, cheerful look that complements the bright environment. Left Image: She’s kneeling among vibrant red flowers and tropical greenery, smiling sweetly at the camera. Palm trees and modern buildings in the background give it that signature Savannah blend of charm and contemporary style. Middle Image: She’s walking along a brick-paved pier or walkway by the river, smiling off to the side. A tall lamppost frames the scene, and the sky is wide and clear, giving this shot an airy, carefree feel. Right Image: She stands on a palm-lined sidewalk in a casual pose, slightly leaning with a relaxed smile. The background features beachy elements and a coastal-town aesthetic—evoking fun, summer, and a little bit of adventure. Altogether, the set captures her youthful energy and joy, mixing tropical elements with classic Southern charm—perfectly aligned with the spirit of senior portraits in Savannah.

It’s More Than a Photoshoot – It’s a Senior Year Keepsake

Here’s the truth: You’re only a high school senior once. And while one amazing photo session is definitely something to celebrate, the idea behind the Senior Team is to go beyond that. To create a full-circle portrait experience. To build confidence behind the lens and friendships right alongside it.

The photos, of course, are beautiful (hi, it’s me…), but the real win is the laughter during the pizza dinner, the inside jokes that show up during the spring shoot, and that mix of nerves and excitement when you zip up your cap and gown together one last time.

Honestly… it’s a front-row seat to the best parts of senior year.

This collage captures a vibrant and joyful trio of high school seniors enjoying a sunny day in Savannah. All three young women are dressed in coordinating green and white outfits with floral or fresh, summery patterns, perfectly suited for senior portraits or best-friend sessions. Left Image: The three friends are walking confidently down a brick-paved pier by the water, hand-in-hand and smiling. A black lamppost and the calm river create a serene and classic Savannah backdrop. Center Image: The trio poses closely in a blooming flower bed with a historic paddleboat and river behind them. Each girl stands out with her unique look, but their outfits tie the group together beautifully. They radiate a cheerful and natural energy. Right Image: They walk arm-in-arm down a modern urban street lined with palm trees and stylish buildings. The scene feels youthful and upbeat—like a girls’ day out—while still polished and intentional for a photoshoot. The entire collage blends iconic Savannah charm (brick paths, river views, blooming flowers) with a playful, fashion-forward spirit—making it ideal for showcasing friendship, personality, and a memorable senior year.
