Your senior year of high school is such a big deal and what better way to document this moment in time? Senior pictures!! Savannah is the perfect location for senior photos especially if you are graduating from one of the schools in the area.
Savannah Senior Sessions
Izzy is one of my Senior Team members and for her individual session she asked if we could shoot in a library and downtown. This was an interesting challenge for me – shooting indoor sessions are not one of the things I think I do well but I also knew it would be a fun location for a session so I agreed!
One of my favorite things about including an individual senior session with each senior team package is seeing how each of the girls on the team bring their own style to a session. I’m always here for thoughts or if they need help with outfits but for unlike the group sessions, where I work to do more curation of the outfits, the individual sessions are all them!
The day of the session it was rainy but we wanted to try to go ahead with the library so we met up and much to our dismay the library was closed of the day – who knew the library closes a 2pm on a Saturday (things to google in the future haha). We decided together to try to move ahead between the rain showers and to start the downtown portion of her session so we headed to Washington Square!
Izzy changed into what was actually her 3rd outfit and we got started!
Downtown Savannah Senior Session
For her 2nd outfit Izzy wore this amazing red dress!! I’ve never walked around with someone getting so many compliments – it is such a show stopping dress! Because of the weather (overcast) I suggested we take the ferry across the river to Hutchinson Island. I knew the red dress would really pop agains the muted tones of River Street across the river.
Senior Photos in the Library
After the red dress we simply lost the light – we spent most of the session sitting in my car waiting on rain showers to pass by – so we scheduled to meet back up later in the week to finish Izzy’s session. The 2nd location Izzy chose was the library. She had such a fun outfit for this location and I think we both had a good time essentially hiding in the bookshelves taking photos.

Izzy’s final outfit was a tan blazer and skirt. We left the library and walked down Bull to the stairs at the Bull Street Church to start there. After shooting on the stairs we walked a circle down Barnard and Whitaker back to the library finding spots that we liked along the way. One of the things Izzy wanted to do was have a photo sitting on some stairs with the newspaper she writes articles for and luck have it we ended up walking by a friend of mine’s house! I texted her to see if we could use her porch and once I got permission we took some great shots on their porch!
